Pie pumpkins

Here it is, our first pie pumpkin. First year in my garden, and now spreading into my neighbor’s yard … I told her she could keep whatever grows there. I went a little overboard, planting six pumpkin plants in a 4x8’ garden bed … They’ve spread out into a 40’ area between my house and my neighbor’s. Like I said, first year. I sort of knew to expect this but I did it anyway? There’s no substitute for firsthand gardening knowledge, right? The fruits are amazing and the seeds, even better. I’ll share my roasting tips in another post.
